Project: To create a community for students living at a satellite campus of the University of Waterloo (off-book).
Goal: To welcome students who are away from the excitement of the main campus and offer activities and events in order to create a sense of community in a different city.
Tools: Facebook, Event management
Process: Spoke with colleagues to gauge interest and created events to meetup and celebrate holidays.
Leadership: Community board member
Outcome: Successfully ran several events throughout the year, reaching the students who lived in the city of the satellite campus and creating a sense of community.
